Welcome to CMYLA's home on the web!

Welcome to the Canon Mac Youth Lacrosse Association (CMYLA) website. The CMYLA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing children in the Canon McMillan and surrounding  areas instruction, enjoyment and competition in the sport of lacrosse.

Our goal is to better develop each player and provide an appropriate level of competition for each child. In furthering this mission, CMYLA will strive for each child to have fun while learning the skills necessary to play lacrosse and to develop physically and socially to reach their maximum potential.

In addition, we also attempt to better serve the youth lacrosse community and its players, coaches, fans and parents. We are dedicated to providing positive role models to help build character, leadership and teamwork in our children that will enhance their lives beyond the sport.

The CMYLA is a member of US Lacrosse, the governing body for lacrosse in the United States.  The CMYLA provides lacrosse programs for school age children from kindergarten through eighth grade.  Whether your child is at the beginner level or has been playing for years, the CMYLA has a program for them.

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College senior attacker Andrew Wallick (Canton, Ohio/North Canton Hoover) racked up 10 points (6 goals and 4 assists) and became the Presidents' all-time leading point scorer during a 21-4 men's lacrosse rout of Thiel College on Wednesday evening at Alexandre Stadium.

The Presidents (4-10) had five different players score goals, including three who netted five or more, and used five different goalies.

Wallick upped his career point total to 172 (95 goals, 77 assists) to move past Zach Devilbiss '09, who owned the previous record with 170 points (122g, 48a).  Wallick earned his historic 171st point with an assist at the 10:34 mark of the fourth quarter.

W&J dominated the entire evening after running out to a 7-1 lead after one period.  The Presidents led 12-2 at halftime before adding on six goals during the third period.

Senior attacker Mark Ringeling (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) also had a six-goal night (one assist) for the Presidents, while freshman attacker Tim Angell (Andover, Mass./Governor's Academy) collected five goals and one assist.  Junior attacker Joseph Eck (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) contributed three goals and three assists, while sophomore midfielder Casey Smallwood (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) had one goal.

Junior goalie Ran Kirby (Cleveland, Ohio/University School) played the first 31 minutes in goal and notched five saves.

The Presidents, who outshot the Tomcats (3-10) by a 44-25 margin, return to Landmark Conference play on Saturday when traveling to Long Island for a 1:00 pm match with the Merchant Marine Academy.
